Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh:Comparison

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh was a marvelous book and The Secret of Nimh was a magnificent movie. But I was kind of disappointed of all the changes with the action. One of the actions that were the same was when the rats helped the Frisby’s move their house. Also the names of the characters were the same.
The differences from the book to the movie was that it said in the book that the doctor went to Mr. Fitzgibbon’s house and they dug up Mrs. Fitzgibbon’s beautiful rosebush. In the movie, it didn’t show a scene were they did that. Also I had noticed that in the book it took quite a few chapters to tell and describe the horrible time they had at the lab but in the movie, it took maybe 30 seconds. I would have liked to see a little more details of their bad time in the lab. Also it didn’t say anything thing about the toy Tinker and it never said anything about the Boniface Estate.
The differences from the movie to the book were that it showed Mrs. Frisby’s house sinking in mud. It didn’t say anything about that in the book and it also showed that Jenner was still there when the rats moved the house.
Also one thing I found that was a lot different in the movie that wasn’t in the book was that Jenner killed Nicodemus and Justin was Jenner were having a swordfight.

  2. Nice work, Rielley. You made great word choices with marvellous and magnificent, definitely getting my attention! Organizing your ideas by topic and then telling the comparison between the two, was easy to follow.
Next time you choose a method to organize your ideas, use your final paragraph to summaries your main points from the short essay.
    Great job!
