Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH: Comparison

There are a few things I’ve seen in the movie that are very different from the book. The title of the movie is "The Secret Of Nimh," Many parts have started earlier in the movie than in the book. In the movie she seemed to have went earlier and faster to see the rats.
I guess you could say the movie was sort of rushed. Did you ever realize that Nicodemus looks a little bigger and more ferocious in the movie, than how described in the book? In the book there were no stools, and Dragons bowl wasn’t taken to the other side of the kitchen, Mrs Frisby also had no trouble pouring the sleeping powder into his bowl either.

The book title is "Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimh."
In the book Mrs. Frisby went to see the rats closer to the middle of the story. It seemed as if Nicodemus was described as ferocious and big, but for some reason in the movie he seemed bigger and stronger? Also in the book it says that when Mrs Frisby goes to give Dragon the sleeping powder, the Fitzgibon’s had rearranged there kitchen, so that dragon’s bowl was on the other side of the kitchen instead of the side she thought it would be on. There were also stools in her way.

  1. You're right Katie, the movie does seem rushed. Why do you think some of the action was created for the movie? (i.e. Trouble pouring the powder in the bowl).
Which interpretation of the Rats of NIMH did you enjoy most?

I like the color you have chosen. It grabbed my attention.
Next time you could use more juicy words.

  5. Good sentence fluency Katie. I also liked the fact that you mentioned the best details from the book. One thing I would change is to put in a introduction sentence.
